Sticky tea is a chai blend made with tea, spices, and honey. The honey enhances flavour, binds the spices, and keeps the blend fresh for longer. This creates a rich, aromatic, and slightly caramelised base that’s perfect for brewing a delicious chai latte or a spiced tea.
-
Follow these steps for the perfect brew:
Measure: Add 1-2 teaspoons of sticky tea per cup to a small pot or milk jug.
Brew: Simmer with equal parts water and your favourite milk (we like oat and cow milk) over low heat for 1-2 minutes. Stir occasionally to release the flavours.
Strain: Pour through a tea strainer into your cup.
Enjoy: Sweeten further to taste, if needed, and enjoy a naturally spiced, aromatic sticky tea!
Sticky tea is versatile—experiment with steeping times and milk ratios to find your perfect cup.

How do I prepare Barista Blend sticky tea?
The Barista Blend is designed for café espresso machines but still benefits from a quick steep before steaming. Here’s how:
Measure: Add 2 teaspoons of Barista Blend sticky tea to a milk jug.
Steep: Cover with ¼ cup of boiling water and let it steep for 2-5 minutes to release the flavours.
Add Milk: Pour your desired amount of milk* into the jug over the steeped tea.
*we recommend cow, oat or soy milk.
Steam: Steam the mixture to about 90 degrees.
Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture into a cup and serve immediately.
This method enhances the bold, natural flavours and ensures a smooth chai latte that your customers will love. Adjust the tea quantity for a stronger or milder taste.

What makes sticky tea different from regular chai?
Sticky tea stands out from regular chai because it’s made with tea, spices, and honey, which bind the flavours together and provide a rich, natural sweetness. Unlike powdered or syrup-based chai mixes, sticky tea is free from artificial ingredients, offering a more authentic and full-bodied flavour.
The honey also ensures the spices are evenly distributed, giving a consistent taste in every cup, and it acts as a natural preservative, keeping the blend fresh and vibrant over time. Sticky tea delivers a premium chai experience that’s aromatic, wholesome, and unlike anything pre-packaged chai can offer.
-
To keep your sticky tea fresh and aromatic, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. Ideally, keep it in an airtight container to maintain its flavour and prevent exposure to moisture.
The honey in the blend naturally acts as a preservative, but proper storage ensures the spices stay vibrant and the tea remains at its best for longer. For maximum freshness, we recommend using the product within 6-12 months of purchase.
